Jag Institute is an after-school program that serves our students every day. It operates from 2:55-6:00 Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; 2:05-6:00 on Early Out Wednesdays; and 1:00-6:00 on Minimum Days. It addresses three key components: academic support in core academic areas (Math, English, Language Arts, Social Studies, & Science), homework support, and enrichment. If you are interested in this program, please fill out a registration form in the Administration Office. Further questions and concerns should be addressed to Rawan Farhat, ASES Program Manager.

Key Components
Students will all have at least an hour of Academy time to complete homework in a small-group instruction.

Students will engage in an Enrichment Activity each day. Enrichment Activities include Art, Drama, Sports, Character Education, Zumba, and more! Enrichment Activities will consist of longer periods of time on Wednesdays and Fridays, due to a longer scheduled day or no homework.

Snack/Supper
The Jag Institute also provides Snack and Supper. Supper is served from 2:55-3:10. Supper will serve an item from each of the core food groups. Snack begins at 5:15 which consists of juice and small treats. If your child is allergic to specific foods, please let us know by indicating these allergies on the registration form.

Attendance Policy
  • Students must attend every day while they are in school. Students who have more than three unexcused absences may be dropped from the Jag Institute.
  • Students must attend the entire length of the program daily. If students are picked up early more than three times without prior approval, they may be dropped from the program.
  • If your child participates in a parallel program (an activity that occurs during the Jag time period, such as athletics, off-campus tutoring, music lesson, etc.), you must submit a “Parallel Program” form.

Pick-Up Policy
The names that you give on the application are the only adults that will be allowed to pick up your child from the Isabelle Jackson Jag Institute unless prior arrangements have been made. Anyone picking up your child must be 18 years of age and must present a valid ID to identify themselves.
Discipline Policy
The Isabelle Jackson Jag Institute is a continuum of the regular school day. The same Code of Conduct applies to the after-school program. Our three encompassing program rules are BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE, and BE SAFE. We will work closely with parents to promote success in the after-school environment. After three referrals for behavior, students may be dropped from the program.

Professional Learning
The Jag Institute may be closed for three days the entire school year for professional development. We will give you ample time to make other arrangements for child care. Once dates are finalized, they will be published on the website and a letter will be sent home with your child.
